RM10k Furniture Research and Development Executive (Furniture Manufacturer)

Responsibilities:

• Develop new furniture products from concept to production, including prototype development and testing.
• Analyze and improve existing furniture products to enhance their quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Work with the production team to identify and resolve technical issues during production, including troubleshooting and identifying the root cause of issues.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, such as product specifications and assembly instructions.
• Conduct testing and analysis to ensure product performance meets company standards, including material testing and product safety testing.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to identify and implement new product ideas and improvements.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in furniture technology, including researching and evaluating new materials and manufacturing processes.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables, including coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in R&D or technical engineering.
• Proficient in AutoCAD software.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks software will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
• Hands-on knowledge and experience in Testing/Product.
• Past working experience in the furniture industry will be an added advantage.
• Ability to interpret, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
