About the role
As RLC Service Engineer for Carrier, you will be responsible for developing sales leads, qualifying prospects, and making service sales calls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare quotation or proposals and follow up on service sales inquiries (e.g. repair, maintenance contract, retrofit).
- Lead negotiation at optimum profit levels.
- Close orders to achieve the goals and targets assigned.
- Responsible for payment collection.
- Communicate and work together with Call Center on customer inquiries.
- Manage existing customers and develop new customers, understand customer’s business status, look for business opportunities, and foster good customer relationships for service revenue growth.
- Ability to understand and convey technical information effectively.
- Maintain a sound technical/application knowledge base on all RLC + VRF products.
- Respond to customer calls, develop appropriate documentation and response plan for resolution of issues, and send issues to the appropriate level to satisfy customer requirements.
- Use technical knowledge to troubleshoot basic customer issues.
- Perform data mining, gather, and analyze data to improve efficiency in products and technical services.
- May resolve customer problems in a technical call center/service center environment or through customer escalation.
- Provide professional proposals, offerings, and technical support related to digitalized service & IoT solutions to targeted customers in RLC + VRF segments.
- Ability to collaborate with connectivity core team, back-end support, and frontliners to achieve business goals & deliver the last mile to the customer.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 1 year of relevant experience in solution selling.
- HVAC background will be an advantage.
- Scheduling and planning experience is advantageous.
- Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
- Strong customer focus, sense of urgency, good communication skills.
- Open to traveling and flexible working hours to accommodate customers.
