Job description

As aRevenue Manager at Kindness of Strangers, you will play a crucial role in optimising revenue and driving the financial success of our hospitality operations in our properties - LOKL Coffee, KLoe Hotel & the upcoming Market House Hotel.

This full-time position requires strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and a keen understanding of market dynamics to ensure we maximise our profitability. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to the continuous improvement of our revenue management practices.

Summary of the Role

Oversee revenue management and distribution strategies for multiple hotels to maximise revenue while managing occupancy, all in line with the Kindness of Strangers hospitality philosophy.

  • Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor performance to improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as RevPAR (Revenue per Available Room), ADR (Average Daily Rate), and occupancy rates.
  • Manage distribution channels, including online travel agencies (OTAs) and direct booking platforms.
  • Provide revenue strategy based on historical data and future forecast.
  • Prepare and present regular revenue reports and forecasts to senior management and collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align revenue strategies with overall business goals.

Revenue Strategy

  • Develop, implement and maintain revenue strategies across multiple hotels to the target market and positioning of the hotel.
  • Use data-driven insights and trends in active adjustments of revenue strategies for multiple hotels.
  • Facilitate regular communication with marketing and hotels to ensure a cohesive revenue strategy.
  • Understanding of financial reports & forecast. Produce forecasts based on actual and market demand.

Rates & Yield Management

  • Explore opportunities that drive profit, create value for clients, and encourage innovation; challenge existing processes/systems/products to make improvements.
  • Manage rates across multiple hotels.
  • Optimise room rates on direct bookings and OTAs.
  • Adjust rates for different markets, seasons and days.
  • Ensure optimal use of revenue tools and promotions to maximise revenue.

Reporting

  • Prepare weekly and monthly revenue report updates.
  • Conduct quarterly property performance reviews on strategy, pricing and action.
  • Benchmark actual to projection (budget) including revenue, best-selling item, nationality, etc.
  • Maintain accuracy of information reporting tools.

Market & Competitors

  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor performance, and economic indicators to adjust pricing and inventory strategies.

Partners Management

  • Set up meetings with OTAs and partners.
  • Ensure information on website, social media, OTAs or any articles are accurate & up to date.

Technical Tasks

  • System settings such as rate plan integration & setup in PMS, POS, Channel Manager and OTAs platform.

Loyalty Program

  • Manage Kindness of Strangers' loyalty program.
  • Work with marketing in implementation of ideas on promoting Kindness of Strangers' loyalty program.

What we're looking for

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in hotel revenue management systems and tools, and strong command of Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Knowledge of data analysis software is a plus.
  • Experience in hotel technology: PMS, Channel Manager & OTAs, Extranets.
  • Experience in hotel revenue management processes and strategies.
  • Ability to use Google Looker Studio is a plus.
  • Independent, self-starter with an analytical mindset, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
