Job Description

Revenue Management and Optimisation:

  1. Develop, Implement and Improve Pricing Strategies to optimise revenue and occupancy rate of hospitality property assets.
  2. Work closely with the brands, marketing team to develop long-term and short-term rental strategies, and oversee all OTA distribution channels.
  3. Analyse key performance metrics such as ADR, RevPAR, and daily pick-up trends.
  4. Evaluate and manage partnerships with OTAs and other distribution channels.
  5. Analyse reservation and guest data, as well as market trends, to identify opportunities for revenue optimisation and demand forecasting.
  6. Manage competitor intelligence, market segment mix, and yield controls to maximise revenue potential.
  7. Analyse domestic and international travel patterns in different states of the country to refine pricing and distribution strategies.
  8. Collaborate with the Brands & Marketing Team to brainstorm effective seasonal marketing strategies and campaigns.
  9. Assess market segmentation strategies (OTA, LTR, and others) and adjust based on property and location demand.
  10. Set and adjust pricing based on market demand, competitor activity, and forecasting analysis.
  11. Conduct weekly, monthly forecasting and demand analysis.
  12. Oversee revenue reporting, including daily pick-up analysis and preparing weekly revenue meetings.
  13. Overseeing, Managing and Developing a team of Revenue Specialists for above functions.

Reservations Management:

  1. Supervise the centralised reservations team to ensure prompt and professional handling of inquiries.
  2. Monitor reservation systems and ensure accurate and up-to-date information regarding room availability, rates, and promotions.
  3. Oversee the processing of reservation requests, ensuring adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
  4. Coordinate with business development, revenue management, brands marketing, and front office teams to optimise room inventory and maximise revenue.
  5. Monitor and analyse reservation trends, optimising room inventory and pricing strategies across all distribution channels.
  6. Ensure that all reservation agents and guest relations staff provide exceptional customer service.
  7. Implement and enforce service standards and protocols to enhance the guest experience.
  8. Conduct regular training and coaching sessions for reservation and customer service teams.

Team Management:

  1. Lead, mentor, and motivate the centralised reservation, customer service, and revenue teams.
  2. Set clear objectives and KPIs for the teams, monitoring performance and providing regular feedback.
  3. Foster a positive team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Reservation System and Data Management:

  1. Manage and maintain the centralised reservation systems and room inventory control.
  2. Oversee the training of reservation agents on the proper use of software and systems.
  3. Conduct regular audits and quality checks of reservation and guest data.

Reporting and Analysis:

  1. Generate and analyse monthly revenue report.
  2. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support revenue management strategies.
  3. Reports Direct to Brands, Revenue Director.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  2. Proven experience (at least 3 years) in revenue and reservations management, guest relations, or a related role, preferably in the hotel industry.
  3. Experience with OTAs and eCommerce platforms is mandatory.
  4. Proficiency in Reservation Management, Channel Managers and Property/Hotel Management Systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
  5. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with guests and team members.
  7. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
  8. Proficiency in English, Malay, and Chinese (Mandarin) is preferred.
  9. Willingness to travel for business purposes.
