Retail Pharmacist

As a Retail Pharmacist with Penawar PD Global Healthcare Pharmacy and Clinics, you'll be overseeing pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing staff, pharmacy continuous medical education, and overseeing the pharmacy of 2 clinic branches in Port Dickson while providing exceptional customer service. Your professionalism will represent us in making our customers feel at home. We will need you to counsel and advise our customers and clinic patients on their medical, nutritional, and dietary needs.

Here are some of the daily tasks involved:

1. Oversee daily pharmacy and 2 medical clinic branches pharmacy operations, including prescription dispensing, inventory management, stock intake/outtake, and compliance with regulatory standards.
2. Provide medicine consultation to patients, medical doctors, and clinic staff; recommend health or beauty products based on customer needs.
3. Supervise and lead pharmacy staff, ensuring a cohesive and efficient team environment.
4. Maintain good inventory management (oversee optimum stock levels, stock orders, delivery, and product display).
5. Maintain positive customer relationships and always give the best care to customers. Follow up on customer requests on time.
6. Manage daily retail operations and customer flows.
7. Maintain and meet daily and monthly sales targets.

2. Degree in Pharmacy and registered with the Malaysian Pharmaceutical Board and qualified for Licenses A.
3. Pleasant personality with good communication & interpersonal skills.
4. Able to interact well with all levels of people and management.
5. Enthusiastic, proactive, passionate about the pharmacy profession, and have a genuine interest in community pharmacy practices.
6. Willing to work in Port Dickson (Headquarters) and work shifts (45 hours per week) on weekdays and weekends.
7. Have transport and willing to travel.
8. Candidates with no retail experience are also encouraged to apply as training will be provided.

Job Responsibilities:

Professional Service

1. Communicate with customers to understand their medical/nutrition/diet needs.
2. Provide basic health screenings.
3. Counsel and advise clients on their medication regimen and to improve health conditions.
4. Screen prescriptions and dispense accurately.
5. Recommend suitable health supplements.
6. Assist in day-to-day operations including coverage for other pharmacists if the need arises.

Stock Management

1. Assist in stock take and be responsible for expired/shortage of products.
2. Ensure inventory records and stocks are always tally.
3. Store products, following proper guidelines.
4. Ensure product availability while keeping costs at optimal performance and working within storage capacity constraints.

People Management

1. Train and induct new co-workers in pharmacy, providing constant coaching and support in pharmacy.
2. Communicate new product promotions and ensure promotions are communicated accurately to customers.

Professional Compliance

1. Ensure the pharmacy always complies with government regulations.
2. Execute best pharmacy practices and follow guidelines given by authority and the Company.
3. Uphold prescription and poison book records.
