Retail Marketing Executive / Senior Executive

We are looking for a Retail Marketing Executive to manage our brand Coleman, which operates in the sport/outdoor equipment retail industry. You will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the performance of our retail outlets and leading marketing campaigns to drive sales and enhance brand presence.

This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in sales and marketing, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for the sport/outdoor equipment retail industry.

Marketing Campaign Planning and Execution:

1. Collaborate with the team to create comprehensive marketing plans that align with the company's objectives and promotional calendar.
2. Oversee the execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring they are well-coordinated across all outlets and digital channels.
3. Monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns through key metrics such as customer response rates, footfall, and sales uplift.

Market Analysis and Competitor Insights:

1. Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitors' activities to identify potential threats and opportunities.
2. Conduct regular competitor analysis to benchmark the company's performance and offerings against the industry's best practices.
3. Use market research data to guide decision-making and support the development of effective sales and marketing strategies.

Brand Promotion and Positioning:

1. Maintain a consistent brand image and ensure all retail outlets adhere to brand guidelines in visual merchandising and store presentation.
2. Implement strategies to differentiate the company's brand and products from competitors, focusing on unique selling propositions.
3. Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and collaborations to enhance brand visibility and reach new customer segments.

Customer Experience Enhancement:

1. Prioritize and champion exceptional customer service across all retail locations, focusing on building long-term customer relationships.
2. Review customer feedback and implement improvements based on suggestions and complaints to enhance the overall customer experience.
3. Encourage the use of customer feedback tools, such as surveys and reviews, to gather insights and address customer pain points.

Budgeting and Reporting:

1. Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
2. Prepare regular reports and dashboards on sales performance, marketing ROI, and key KPIs for top management review and decision-making.

Team Leadership and Development:

1. Provide ongoing coaching and support to the team, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
2. Set clear performance expectations and KPIs for each team member, conducting regular performance evaluations and recognizing achievements.

If You Have the Following, We Want to Hear from You!

Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience in the outdoor/sports industry is a plus.

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in retail marketing, with at least 2 years within the retail industry.

Solid understanding of marketing principles and experience in creating successful marketing campaigns.

Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

Ability to inspire and lead a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with stakeholders, team members, and customers effectively.

Additional Information:

Travel Requirements: HQ located at Shah Alam. Frequent travel to various retail outlets and suppliers; meetings may be required.

Working Hours: 8.00 am – 5.00 pm, with the ability to respond to emergencies outside regular hours.
