To plan and execute F&B leasing activities according to agreed budgets, timescales, and the tenant mix of the university’s canteen and other facilities. To respond to and follow up on leasing enquiries via post, telephone, and personal visits.
To identify and short-list suitable tenants and retail concepts for the university. To initiate discussion with potential tenants, negotiate the lease, propose to the Management, and finalize rental and other terms and conditions. Ensure tenants adhere to the lease terms.
To prepare and maintain tenancy agreements, generate management reports as well as any other related documents with regards to lease transactions.
To liaise with the tenants and monitor the New F&B outlets setup and expired outlets exit activities.
To establish and update the database of retailers, to maintain and expand good landlord-tenant relationships. To resolve any tenants’ concerns and issues as soon as possible in the interest of the betterment of the university.
To manage the hygiene, health, and safety of food and beverage. To conduct regular audits/inspections for kitchen, service counter, storage, cooling facilities, and so on to ensure the operation of outlets meets hygiene and safety standards at all times.
To work closely with relevant Government Officials for documentation and processes. To ensure all certification requirements are in compliance with existing as well as any new required certification from the Ministry of Health and other relevant Government Departments.
To handle, investigate, analyze, and make recommendations in resolving complaints from students, staff, and other parties regarding food and beverage in the canteen and convenience stores.
To establish and maintain an effective departmental administration and communication system to ensure easy access and smooth flow of information for both inter and intra-department such as Asset Team, Procurement Team, Finance Office, Operation and Maintenance Office, Student Affairs Office, and HR Office.
Any other tasks or duties that may be assigned by superior from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Bachelor Degree in any field or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in F&B / Retail industry.
Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin languages.
Able to read, interpret and prepare documents such as tenancy agreements, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Be meticulous, committed, pro-active, and willing to take ownership of assigned tasks.
Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills.
Well-versed in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google-related facilities.
