- Oversee care of critically ill neonates, pediatric and/or adult patients, under a diverse range of post-operative and emergency admissions, in critical care units and other inpatient wards.
- Assist in the management of unstable patients in other inpatient areas, e.g., post major operations, fresh transfers out from critical care units, carry out procedures and discharges where a consultant is not able to attend in time, e.g., catheterization/difficult NGT insertion.
- Attend/assess verbal orders, e.g., sedation at night or radiology investigations, setting lines or taking blood samples, and attending to Code for patients in a timely manner.
- Possess a Medical Degree and be registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
- Valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
- Attended/trained in life support courses: ACLS/ALS, ATLS/MTLS, PALS/APLS, BLS, NRP, and other relevant courses related to emergency care or intensive care. Minimum 4 years’ experience in Pediatric, Intensive Care Unit, Acute Care & Ward Management as well as Anaesthesiology.
- Possess skills in all procedures (IV line setting, arterial line, airway management, blood taking, catheterization).
