Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology /Nutrition/Dietetics, Chemistry, Bio Technology.
Preferably candidate with more than 5 years’ experience in Food Manufacturing.
Understanding on compliance of food safety standards Malaysian and International such as ISO 22000, HACCP, HALAL, GMP and ISO quality management systems and other food-related regulations requirements is beneficial.
Familiar with Food Act 1983 & Food Regulation 1985.
Independent and able to work with minimal supervision.
Target oriented and ability to work under pressure to meet targets.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Oversee the full scope of R&D works related to existing product expansion as well as new product development.
Ensure continuous improvement of R&D practices and compliance to company Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and food safety standards.
To improve and revise existing product formulations and processes if necessary to optimize productivity and cost.
In charge in sourcing of materials for product testing and development.
To carry out R&D projects such as formulation, sample preparation and sensory evaluation that comply with food regulation.
Labelling related to food safety ensure product labels comply with food regulations (Nutrition, Ingredients listing, Allergen Statement, Dosage of Consumption etc.)
Registration, Statutory and Regulatory Study Product Registration – liaise with MOH.
Prepare documents such as formula, label, and evaluation reports.
To perform ad hoc tasks assigned by superior from time to time.
