Research and Development Executive

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To develop innovative products to achieve personal KPIs and contribute to the PD department's objectives.
2. To source new ingredients for product development, ensuring alignment with quality, regulatory, and cost standards.
3. To identify and evaluate alternative ingredients for cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
4. Proactively seek ingredients that enhance the quality or add value to existing products, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
5. Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive product offerings.
6. Prepare, maintain, and organize documentation required for audits, including ingredient sourcing records, trial logs, and product specifications.
7. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary information, addressing queries, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
8. Co-supervise, arrange and document all PD trial and pilot runs, including downtime reports and corrective actions.
9. Other reasonable responsibilities as assigned by superior from time to time.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE REQUIRED:

1. Understanding of food science and technology.
2. Innovative, willing to learn and adopt new ideas.
3. Ideally possess leadership skills, or supervisory skills as a minimum.
4. Basic understanding of GMP and HACCP.
5. Good written and spoken communication ability in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
6. High spirit of teamwork.
7. 3-5 years of experience in the same industry.
