Research Analyst, Global Fixed Income

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze and research on fixed income securities and markets, with a primary focus on MYR and USD credits.
• Develop new fixed income investment ideas, provide timely market updates, analytical reports, investment recommendations, and investment strategies.
• Develop and enhance analysis tools to support investment recommendations, risk mitigation approaches, and process improvements.
• Prepare presentation materials and participate in presentations to the internal investment committee and distribution channels.
• Feature in local and regional marketing content such as media interviews, webinars, video clips, podcasts, and regional bond annual recommendation reports.

Requirements:

• A good degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related discipline with less than 2 years of related working experience. Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
• Keen interest in financial markets, investments, and economics. Candidates with experience dealing with stocks, bonds, unit trusts, or other investment products will have an added advantage.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills in both English and Mandarin.
• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge. Advanced Excel skills will have an added advantage.
• Strong analytical ability with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated individual with a strong sense of urgency.
• Able to work independently as well as be a team player.
