Reporting Data Modeler (Data Management)

Quantum is seeking an experienced Reporting Data Modeler (Data Management) to join our IT development team. The primary focus of this role will be analyzing data and reporting requirements to deliver high-quality, data-driven insights through advanced reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will be an expert in data management and report development, working with both structured and unstructured data to support the company’s business intelligence efforts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand data sources to design and implement optimized reporting solutions.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using BI tools such as Power BI.
• Collaborate with data engineers and other team members to ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across all reports.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes to gather and integrate data from various platforms and systems.
• Optimize data models to improve reporting performance and data accessibility.
• Ensure that data governance standards are upheld within reporting environments.
• Provide advanced technical support for report development and ensure that reporting solutions meet end-user needs.
• Assist with database administration, including performance tuning and optimization for reporting purposes.
  
  

• 5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining reports and dashboards with Power BI or equivalent BI tools.
• 5+ years of experience working with SQL Server databases and queries in a data management role.
• 3+ years of experience using ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, or SSIS.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, including relational and dimensional modeling.
• 2+ years of experience with cloud-based data warehousing platforms, preferably Azure Data Warehouse or Synapse.
• Solid experience in working with complex data environments, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical challenges into actionable solutions.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
  
  

• Experience with advanced analytics or AI-powered reporting.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Purview
• Experience with data lakes and managing large-scale unstructured data.
• Experience with performance tuning of databases and reporting solutions.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
