Overview
HLB Release Management Team will mainly involve in the deployment and maintenance stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
The Release Management Team will work closely and communicate regularly with the IT project manager, application, and testing team in finalizing a project's release and deployment process.
Responsible for controlling changes and updates of project deployment starting from the User Acceptance Test (UAT) to the Live Production environments in line with the ITIL framework.
Always track and maintain proper documentation of project deployment progress, including the software version and builds, bugs and fixes, enhancements, platforms, and tools used for the deployment.
Collect and keep project baseline and acquire all access to the required IT platforms, software tools, and pages to ensure a project's successful handover to the Release Management Team.
Adhere to the Change and Release Management Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and ensure all application changes strictly follow the correct process before proceeding with the deployment.
Accountable for day-to-day deployment in both UAT and production application minor changes and standby for any emergency or expedited change request.
Involve in CAC Meeting for planning and scheduling resources to ensure bulk release activity is deployed successfully within the approved time window and minimizes impact to production.
Ensure that approved changes are successfully deployed to production, installed in host and maintained the parameter, released the correct version and build, implemented and recorded the change request accurately.
Implement and maintain IT Change Management principles, standards, plans, and procedures within the agreed-upon scope.
Assist auditors with auditing the activities of the Change and Release Management function for compliance with established procedures and IT control framework.
Other Responsibilities
Provide recommendations and input to management on existing or new processes and procedures to improve the effectiveness of Change and Release Management.
Coordinate the release activity within the team.
Jobholder Requirements:
Look for multitasking, oriented good team-player, able to work with minimal supervision and under pressure during Release Bus Activity.
Required knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint to help with reporting purposes.
