Release Coordinator

The Release Technical Analyst (RTA) is a position which builds & operates Maybank’s consumer digital ecosystem platforms such as MAE & Maybank2u. The RTA will be working on MAE & M2U release lifecycle to ensure all business & IT driven initiatives can be release reliably to bring greater values for internal & external customers. The role will be collaborating closely with business & IT stakeholders to continuously bring efficiencies & effectiveness in a value driven supply chain.

About the Role

Release planning

• Contribute to creating, reviewing & formalising release calendar, process & tools under release management
• Defines & manage release versioning controls
• Support release coordinators on release planning & onboarding of initiatives into release operating model

Release execution

• Reviews Pull Request (PR) for the designated platform & areas
• Assess & generate technology risks for each PR & initiative
• Support & enhance environment to ensure reliability, observability & maintainability
• Build & deploy apps / versions where required as per process

Release monitoring

• Monitor & track each release reliability indicators to achieve reliability targets & continuous improvements

Release reporting

• Build, test & deploy monitoring dashboards & automated reports where required
• Monitor, track & report release readiness, progress & closure
• Report on improvements track
• Report on release performance

Release closure

• Consolidate all technical findings for the release & submit for retrospective & release closure

Release controls & improvements

• Continuous improvements in release management operating model
• Report on release risks & issues
• Support & improve tools for continuous build & automated testing as part of release management
• Responsible for impacted infrastructure environments for development, staging & production
• Proactively engage cross functional teams on issue resolution & reliable design practices
• Enforce release management process adherence

Requirements

• Degree in related computer science principles
• 5 years experience in Web / app release management operating model, software delivery with in-house development using either Java, Springboot, Nodejs, Reactjs, React Native and technical or functional related role in banking systems by in-house team
• Good knowledge in scrum techniques & artefacts, i..e DoD, stories, backlog, etc
• Able to resolve problems creatively
• Proficient in using GitHub, Jira & Confluence or related release management tools
• Strong interpersonal & collaborative skills as well as highly effective communication skills
• Organised, detail oriented & thorough
• Strong desire to help improve processes & mentor others
