Your challenges and mission

• Deliver expert legal counsel on marketing matters across diverse jurisdictions, ensuring Deriv’s marketing strategies always comply with regulatory requirements.
  
• Provide comprehensive legal advice on tax, marketing, and corporate issues related to our B2B operations. Your expertise will support our strategic initiatives, especially in the realm of cross-border transactions.
  
• Draft, review, and refine policies, assist with licensing processes and ensure ongoing compliance across all Deriv entities. Your meticulous approach will uphold the highest standards and legal obligations.
  
• Keep senior leadership well-informed about legal and regulatory changes affecting the company. Provide actionable recommendations to proactively address and mitigate potential risks.
  
• Develop and implement strategies to prevent and resolve disputes. Your efforts will foster a positive, compliant work environment, enhancing Deriv's operational integrity.
  

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, audit, or risk function
  
• Undergraduate degree in Law or related fields
  
• Experience in investment services, e-commerce, online marketing, and reviewing contracts
  
• Understanding of regulations governing the fintech industry and basic tax laws
  
• Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively
  
• Strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  
• Great attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
  

• Experience working in fintech organisation
