About Our Client

Our client is a global professional services business headquartered in the UK and has been in operations for close to 50 years. They are present in over 30 countries and have been in Malaysia for close to 15 years. The group is publicly listed on the London Stock Exchange and it is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.

As the business increases its footprint in APAC, they have recently set up their regional hub here in KL to support 12 markets, including China, Japan, Australia and SEA countries. With this business decision, we are currently partnering exclusively with our client to recruit for a number of key positions within the marketing function.

Job Description

  • Working with the (Senior) Content Manager for APAC, (Senior) Digital Engagement Manager for APAC and regional business partners, to develop and implement holistic SEO content strategies for 12 markets in APAC, focusing on driving organic traffic, improving search rankings, and increasing job applications and client leads through organic search
  • Create clear audience segments based on intent and devise a SEO content plan for new audience acquisition and engagement through to conversion
  • Working with agencies where available, to conduct in-depth keyword research to identify relevant and high-opportunity search terms to target across the region's diverse markets
  • Work with the Content team to create, optimize, and manage high-quality, engaging, and relevant content (including evergreen and campaigns) that resonates with target audiences and aligns with SEO best practices with the help of tools or AI technology.
  • Collaborate with internal (content, creative teams) and external content creators to ensure consistent delivery of optimized and value-driven content, including blog posts, articles, guides, videos and other digital or rich media assets.
  • Review backlink contribution to SEO traffic and implement a backlink optimisation process with the Digital Engagement team and agencies.
  • Ensure an optimised workflow and alignment in task objectives between the Digital Engagement team and Content team.
  • Monitor and analyze website performance metrics, search trends, and competitive landscape to make data-driven decisions and adjust strategies accordingly, with specific reference to organic traffic.
  • Generate regular SEO performance reports for stakeholders, highlighting key insights, achievements, and areas for improvement for all APAC sites
  • Demonstrate the value of optimised content through impact on applications, leads and revenue.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, algorithm updates, and emerging SEO content practices to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on SEO best practices and content optimization techniques as needed.
  • Support ah-hoc website tasks as needed


The Successful Applicant

  • Fluency in English and an additional language (Mandarin or Japanese preferred)
  • 6-8 years of experience in SEO content creation and marketing
  • Experience in working with or in an SEO agency
  • Experience working with SEO tools such as SEMRush, Screaming Frog, MajesticSEO, AI content creation tools etc
  • Ideally previous experience in Shared Services, and collaborating with global and local teams remotely.
  • Strong understanding of the role of content across the customer journey and marketing funnel
  • Keen to understanding local priorities and delivering content that maximizes value for local teams
  • Demonstrate success in translating creative content ideas into tangible business outcomes e.g. conversions across the different phases of the customer journey
  • Take a data-driven approach to content marketing
  • Experience working in an international multi-brand company with multiple stakeholders is advantageous.
  • Problem solving capabilities and a positive 'can do' attitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player with the ambition to make a step change in the way content contributes to growing our business
  • Being open to working outside of usual working hours to accommodate different time zones and ensure timely responses to regional or global requests
