Regional Sales Engineer (Hybrid Working)

Resource reports to the General Manager of Kinetrol Asia Sdn Bhd in Malaysia.

About The Role

Based in Kuala Lumpur, Seremban or Penang (you must currently be based in these places or willing to relocate there from other parts of Malaysia), as the Sales Engineer, you will be the ambassador and chief sales strategist for the company in the North of Peninsula Malaysia and Philippines. You will drive and spearhead brand awareness and product/system growth in your territory and will assist the General Manager in growing the brand awareness and product/system sales in those regions:

  • Sell and market the company's products, systems and ¼ turn and linear solutions and look for added value opportunities to complement the company’s existing product portfolio.
  • Build unassailable rapport with internal and external business stakeholders – this is inclusive of both regional and local clientele.
  • Develop and build an efficient sales network and meet and exceed agreed targets for sales and margins.
  • Drive sales to existing customers and penetrate new markets. Identify and sell to new customers. Retain existing customers in existing markets and target and win new customers in new markets locally and regionally.
  • Identify business opportunities with OEMs, end users, valve manufacturers & suppliers and contractors and establish dominant market control share. Obtain enquiries and convert to orders, win new projects. Make presentations, hold seminars and attend exhibitions as required.
  • Build a reliable forecast and strong sales delivery pipeline in line with the company’s strategies, goals and objectives.
  • Agree annual targets with the General Manager.

Skills And Experience

  • Minimum Diploma holder preferred (but not essential).
  • At least 3 years’ external sales experience within a related industry is desired (Valves/Actuators/Process or Automation Equipment).
  • Demonstrated experience growing sales year-on-year, and a robust general and diverse industry knowledge.
  • Fluent in English (spoken & written).
