Position Summary: 

In order to implement and drive the success of our procurement model and to complete the team of Global Transport category, we are looking for a highly competent Regional Procurement Manager based in Kuala Lumpur. Reporting directly to the Global Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the category strategy for the Ocean Freight & Other Logistics Category on a regional level, utilizing strategic sourcing processes, tools and policies.

A Day in the Life of a Regional Procurement Manager: 

  1. Define and implement the category strategy, utilizing Strategic Sourcing processes, tools and policies.
  2. Perform supplier market/category/supply risk analysis and develop Total Cost Ownership (TCO) models to identify improvement opportunities.
  3. Negotiate contracts ensuring the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers in line with the strategy.
  4. Manage the relationship with various stakeholders to integrate category plans and outcomes in local budgets and price planning.
  5. In partnership with Supplier Relationship Management Experts lead the planning and regular contract SLA reviews with suppliers and other functional partners.
  6. Identify and implement logistics optimization opportunities at markets.
  7. Ensure compliance to Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies and standards.
  8. Manage, Guide and Coach the Logistics team in Kuala Lumpur as part of the Global Logistics Senior Leadership Team.

What will make you successful: 

  1. University degree in Procurement, Business Administration and/or Supply Chain.
  2. Solid experience in sourcing for different spend categories, ideally gained in the logistics category.
  3. Demonstrated successful use of risk management, responsible sourcing and supplier relation management.
  4. Experience in negotiations.
  5. Proven Leadership skills and Project Management skills.
  6. Experience in Supply Chain Project Management.
  7. Understanding of National and International Procurement Regulations.
  8. Fluency in English is required; Mandarin, Arabic and any other language will be an asset.
  9. An outgoing personality with the ability to cultivate relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  10. Experience managing or procuring logistics services within the AOA regions.
  11. Flexibility to work across different time zones.
