What this job involves:
- Putting safety in your hands
First things first, your chief concern is to ensure a safer and more conducive work environment for yourself, your team, the client and the vendors and contractors under your purview. Part of the checklist you will run through are to plan and execute all preparations needed to perform comprehensive transformation projects, maintenance and routine tasks surrounding civil, mechanical and electrical tasks. - Being dedicated to great results
You should be resilient and adaptable and seek to understand the client’s requirements and the best of industry standards to ensure high standards are being translated to the site. Whatever issues that you spot, you should be quick to figure out the best repairs and solutions. Your input and ideas will be sought to help steer the team in directions that help make the facility perform at its best. - Subject Matter Expert
This role revolves around you functioning as a subject matter expert resource with keen project management, mechanical and electrical knowledge to serve senior management clients. It is a requirement for you to be conversant with mechanical, civil and electrical diagrams. This is a fast paced role with tangible benefits and visible success indicators that requires you to optimize the talents of the varied stakeholders involved. - Communication Skills
A seasoned regional manager, you will use the appropriate communication skills to ensure the right message is received across stakeholders of varying levels and there is no communication gap. This role covers several countries within the APAC region and there regular regional travel will be expected. - Vendor Contact
A typical day for you also involves contact with vendors, contractors and end users—reviewing services, Gantt charts, scope, quotations, blueprints, PnIDs, SLDs, reports and coordinating with respective managers for the timely resolution of any issues, incidents and projects. You will take ownership of ascertaining asset reliability, customer client feedback, prioritization and allocation of resources, timely mitigation of challenges and oversight of critical project milestones. Finally, you will support the regional account director and operations director in weekly and monthly activities project report generation, business reviews, project briefings, P&L allocation, project risk and mitigation plan, future roadmap building amongst others.

- Core facilities management skills
If you’re a masters graduate in mechanical or electrical engineering discipline, you will most likely qualify for this role. You should also have a minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities management and electrical engineering and a proven track record in large scale project management. Post graduate or tertiary training in ACMV, HVAC, lift servicing, fire suppression, PMP, electrical distribution and lean six sigma are advantageous. - Outstanding team prowess
