We are hiring a new Regional Business Development Manager for our Chemicals business:

- You have already gained some experience in the chemical raw materials business.
As our Regional Business Development Manager, you will be responsible to develop the sales market in the designated region, segments, and industries for a range of chemicals and specialty chemical products in the domestic and overseas market, i.e. Asia-Pacific.
Your tasks are
- Develop and implement sustainable business plans and sales strategies to ensure company profitability.
- Build and maintain strong business partner relationships through phone/video calls and in-person meetings that include traveling.
- Lead and grow a team of sales managers and customer service representatives to consistently exceed KPIs.
- Identify and research new business opportunities – including new markets, new partnerships, new products – or new ways of reaching existing markets.
- Review and improve sales and marketing processes including developing marketing materials, technical support, pre-and after-sales, tender, etc.
- Work together with the sales team to enhance selling skills, presentation, technical knowledge, and closing deals.
- Analyse market information for data-driven decision-making – investigate current trends and customer buying intentions, and provide competitive pricing proposals while striving for maximum profit margin.
- Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process for assigned products.
- Deepen product and market knowledge (applications, markets, capacities, requirements, product flow).
- Active presentation of SPCI-HELM, our products, prices and our value proposition to our partners.
Your profile
You are best suited for this role if you have the following skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or Bachelor’s degree in any field plus at least three years of professional experience in relevant industries (preferred chemicals) or Engineering Degree in Chemical, Electronic, Mechanical, Science, or its equivalent.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales and marketing, in dealing with chemicals commodity or chemicals distribution business.
- Good chemical-related knowledge and understanding of the technical specification and ability to convey quality effectively.
- Ability in managing and work closely with customers, productions, and customer services.
- Mobile to travel within or outside Malaysia and Singapore to work alongside customers to find out their needs.
