Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Count, weigh or measure items of incoming merchandise in order to verify information against invoices, purchase order, delivery order or other records.
  2. Examine and unpack incoming boxes; record shortages and reject damaged items.
  3. Route items to various departments.
  4. Examine incoming merchandise to ensure they meet specifications.
  5. Check inventory and administer the processing.
  6. Responsible for monitoring the returns process.
  7. Sort, count, identify, verify and track all material and to maintain accurate inventory records.
  8. Verify receipts and log them according to required procedures.
  9. Investigate and resolve situations where items received are not properly documented in the daily receipt log.
  10. Regularly enter inventory data into computer on a timely basis.
  11. Perform regular merchandise store audits to ensure it is undamaged and maintained neatly throughout the storing period.
  12. Advise management of cycle count issues on a timely basis.
  13. Ensure that all documents and material received in the warehouse are of satisfactory quality.
