Bosch Cross-Domain Computing Solutions (XC) is a business division within the Mobility Solutions business sector of the Bosch Group. The division unites software, electrical and electronics engineers from the areas of driver assistance, automated driving, car multimedia, powertrain, and body electronics in a new unit. XC plays a leading role in shaping the dynamic shift toward ever more digitalization in the vehicle.
The Research and Development team in Penang location is the center of global engineering for this business division. Bosch Cross-Domain Computing Solutions (XC) is divided into five sections:
Collaborate as project team member for category B/C projects on electronic design matters, identify issues; provide appropriate guidance and advice to ensure delivery of quality outcomes.
Prepares circuit diagram for the realization of HW design in meeting product specification (internally and externally) for category B/C projects.
Prepare, update and maintain product design electronic specification, bill of material (BOM) for category B/C projects.
Establish a Work-Breakdown-Structure (WBS) on electronic design and development for project category B/C.
Evaluate devices electronic design and identifies potential area of improvement in terms of cost, quality and performance for medium complexity products.
Evaluate and recommend electronic components for application in new product design with medium innovation.
Interact and provide support for projects sample built, troubleshooting and issues solving for category B/C projects.
Prepare input for creation of product manufacturing test instructions (PAV); electrical validation test (FEP); EMC test plan for high complexity products.
Interact as change engineer for electronic components replacement due to parts end-of-life (EOL) that requires major design update.
Evaluate and review customer technical specification on electronic design feasibility, proposed alternative solution; deviation list; and concept presentation for high complexity products.
Estimate and provide engineering effort required for electronic design and development including man-hour, material, traveling, test and validation with major derivative projects.
Provide guidance, advice and mentoring on norms and standards established in automotive industry internally and externally. E.g. CDQ, TS16949, ISO26262.
Develop and set standards on specific topics for the organization as member of BEO define technology roadmap.
Plan and coordinate continuous improvement process activities to enhance and strengthen team.
Participate in technical forums, exhibitions to regularly keep up-to-date in latest technological development of electronics devices.
Any other duties as assigned from time to time to accomplish related results as needed.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Electronic Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering.
Minimum 5-10 years working experience in related field.
Good knowledge in product engineering and problem-solving tools (Change Processes, BES-PE, FMEA, DFMA, QFD, 8D, 6-Sigma).
Proficient in English language; proficiency in additional languages such as Mandarin would be advantageous.
