R&D Scientist (Food Manufacturing)

· Experience in plant-based foods or functional foods, ambient food/snacks or innovative beverage products is an added advantage.

· Responsible for developing new products and enhancing existing ones by researching, identifying, and applying the best technology to achieve desired results within the specified time frame, ensuring competitive advantages in the market.

· Manage the new concept development and production scale-up process.

· Collaborate with marketing and sales to identify and initiate new projects, products, processes, and plans. Track the progress of projects against established targets.

· Gather food regulatory information and stay updated on innovative ingredients and processes to develop a robust system.

· Monitor and lead the R&D team on sensory evaluations for new raw material replacements or new products.

· Comprehend and collaborate with the Regulatory and Quality Compliance department to ensure adherence to quality system requirements, regulatory standards, and safety, health, and environmental regulations.

· Demonstrate intellectual engagement and interactivity in the role by staying updated with relevant literature and research publications.

· Establish and upkeep all test reports, records, and quality documents.

· Support assembly or production line setup when necessary.

· Possess the ability to analyze and interpret research findings. Provide assessments of ingredients, their benefits, costing, and legal compliance.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related field.

· Preferably candidates with more than 3 years’ experience in Food Manufacturing.

· Knowledge of food technology, food microbiology, safe food handling procedures, and culinary.

· Perform ad-hoc duties assigned by superior/HOD as and when required.

· No dietary constraints preferable.
