About the role

As a Quantity Surveyor - M&E at MultiTech Electrical Construction Sdn Bhd, you will play a critical role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects. Based in Melaka, this full-time position will see you overseeing all cost-related activities, from estimating and budgeting to contract administration and project closeout.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for tendering purposes
• Analyzing project costs and variances, and providing recommendations to improve profitability
• Negotiating and administering contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
• Measuring and valuing work completed, and processing progress payments
• Identifying and managing project risks, and implementing cost control measures
• Providing regular cost reports to project stakeholders
• Supporting the project team with procurement and expediting activities

What we're looking for

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, preferably in the M&E sector
• Strong working knowledge of construction contracts, cost management principles, and quantity surveying practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office applications
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
