QUANTITY SURVEYOR ASSISTANT

Job Responsibilities:

1. Perform calculation on materials required for every confirmed project.
2. Perform calculation on estimated pricing.
3. Check 'progress claim' from sub-contractors, prior to obtaining approval from QS Exec.
4. Compare supplier/sub-con quotes on material/service needed for projects and prepare quotation to client.
5. Observe all VO variation orders are well recorded and claimed from client.
6. Negotiate & coordinate between purchaser, sub-contractors, manufacturers, and vendors.
7. Prepare pre & post project budget, progress claim, projected cash flow, tender documentation, and final accounts.
8. Fill in sub-contractors retention sum of 5% during project claim by sub-contractors.
9. Assist in the daily project site operations and ensure documentations are in line with the SOP.
10. Prepare progress claim and invoice to client, upon QS Exec approval.
11. Check client payment prior to carrying out progress claim (for long-term project) and notify QS Exec.
12. Monitor all contractual records with clients and suppliers to protect the company's interest at all times.
13. Verify sub-contractors claim/progress claim for MD's approval.
14. Update the 'Approval Supplier/Sub-contractors List' annually for MD's approval.
15. Issue 'word orders' to sub-cons when required.
16. Any other responsibilities as instructed by superior that are related to Quantity Surveyors job scope.
