About the role

TERAS TEKAD SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring optimal cost efficiency and profitability.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender documents for construction projects
2. Analysing and interpreting contract documents, drawings, and specifications to identify potential cost savings
3. Monitoring and controlling project costs, including the preparation of regular cost reports and payment valuations
4. Negotiating and administering contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
5. Providing expert advice and support to project managers and other team members
6. Ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards

What we're looking for

1. Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
2. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
3. Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and project financial reporting
4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate financial risks
5. Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and other relevant technology
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team
