Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team at RD QS Consult in Kuala Lumpur. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in managing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. This is a full-time position.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and analyse tender documents, bills of quantities, and cost estimates
• Manage and monitor project budgets, cash flows, and cost control measures
• Negotiate and administer contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients
• Provide advice and support to project teams on commercial and contractual matters
• Prepare and submit progress reports, valuations, and final accounts
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities during the project lifecycle
• Collaborate with other professionals, such as architects, engineers, and project managers

What we're looking for

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and project control techniques
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
• Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and MS Office applications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
