Quantity Serveyor, M&E

About the role

Malaya MNE Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor, M&E to join our team in Petaling Selangor. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive quantity surveying services for mechanical and electrical (M&E) construction projects, ensuring accurate cost management and timely delivery.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for M&E works
• Negotiating and agreeing on contract terms and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors
• Monitoring project budgets and costs, and providing regular financial reports
• Resolving contractual and commercial issues that may arise during projects
• Liaising with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination
• Providing input on design and construction planning to optimise costs and efficiency
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies

What we're looking for

• Diploma/ Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• 0-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the M&E construction industry
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contracts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
• Proficient in using relevant software, such as cost estimation and project management tools
• Good knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards
• Familiarity with local and international regulations and standards related to M&E construction
