KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF A QUALITY MANAGER

Establishing Quality Standards:

• Create and maintain quality standards, specifications, and procedures aligned with company goals and industry regulations.

Quality Control Monitoring:

• Conduct regular inspections and testing throughout the production process to identify potential quality issues.
• Perform Final Quality Control process.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Collect and analyze data from inspections, testing, and production processes to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Process Improvement:

• Implement corrective actions to address quality issues and propose process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.

Supplier Quality Management:

• Evaluate and manage the quality of materials and services provided by suppliers.

Auditing and Compliance:

• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems (like ISO standards) and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance.

Training and Development:

• Train employees in quality procedures, standards, and best practices.

Collaboration with Teams:

• Work closely with production teams, engineering, and other departments to identify and resolve quality issues.

Intercompany Sourcing Support:

• Support products or component sourcing for cost optimization projects.
• Lead and support all EPD related projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Organize and liaise with related departments and personnel on quality system activities to support operations.
• Coordinate and execute quality audit and certification.
• Analyze and implement corrective actions and preventive measures according to QS standards.
• Manage day-to-day quality assurance activities from supplier management to customer requirements.
• Develop competency requirements in Total Quality Management.
• Manage a team of QC Engineers/Inspectors.
• Conduct pre-production, in-line, and final inspections.
• Ensure that only products which meet the Company’s quality requirements are shipped.
• Work with vendors to improve the quality of materials supplied.
• Lead and develop the quality team to establish and implement quality plans and systems.
• Develop and drive quality improvement programs.

RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience is required for this position, preferably in semiconductor/equipment manufacturing.
• Working knowledge in SPC, FMEA, ISO 9000, ISO 14000, and basic QC tools; lead internal audits.
• Experience in conducting internal audits and handling external audits for ISO 9000.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to manage stakeholders with good communication and written skills.
