German-Dutch ORYX STAINLESS GROUP is the leading supplier of secondary raw materials for the world's largest stainless steel manufacturers. We are soon opening our 2nd yard in Asia in Tanjung Langsat, Pasir Gudang.

Quality control (QC) begins with visual inspection of incoming materials, testing (XRF), and sampling for metallurgical analysis followed by detailed documentation. It helps if you have worked with metals (steel, alloys, mining, construction); otherwise, we teach you the materials we handle (stainless steel of various grades).

As part of the yard operations team, the QUALITY CONTROL OFFICER reports to the Team Leader – Quality Control.

Education & Experience:

• QC relevant experience in primary materials operations (e.g., quarry, concrete, piling, construction) or metals engineering (e.g., steel fabrication or erection) or logistics (port, special transport, loading/unloading).
• Quality control in outdoor conditions, heavy-duty operations.
• Thorough documentation and record-keeping of all receipts, analysis, and QC charts.
• Hands-on, independent, self-driven, energetic, outdoors on the yard and in the office.
• Computer literate in MS Office, QC software & equipment. Good English, as we are dealing worldwide.
