QUALITY ASSISTANT MANAGER (FOOD INDUSTRY)
Job description
Job Responsibilities
- To develop, implement, and maintain the Food Safety Management Systems (i.e. HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000 etc.).
- To monitor quality control processes in accordance with food safety standards and company policies.
- To conduct internal audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify areas for quality-related improvements.
- To liaise with regulatory authorities and certification bodies for food safety audits, certifications, and inspections.
- To investigate customer complaints and non-conformance reports, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- To conduct training for production staff on quality assurance policies, hygiene, and food safety procedures.
- To collaborate with production teams to improve product quality.
- To maintain records of quality control tests, audits, and certifications for documentation and compliance purposes.
Job Requirements
- Possesses Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Biology, Life Science or equivalent.
- Preferably with 5-8 years of experience in Quality Assurance role in a Food Manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, Halal Certification, and local Food Safety regulations.
- Experience in conducting internal and external audits for quality systems.
- Good problem-solving skills and communication skills to work cross-functionally.
