Company Background: Construction (Public Infrastructure, highway, bridge, etc.) Salary Range: Basic MYR9,000 - MYR12,000 Working Days: Mon - Fri Working Hours: 9am - 6pm Location: Desa ParkCity, W.P Kuala Lumpur
Job Responsibilities
Contract Administration: Responsible for end-to-end spectrum of Contract Management. Manage and administer construction contracts from inception to completion. Ensure all contractual obligations are met and manage any variations or disputes. Responsible for drafting and reviewing contractual documents and dealing with contractual disputes and/or issues. In charge of the tendering exercise, including calling of tender, reviewing tender reports, attending tender interviews, negotiating, finalizing, and preparing recommendation reports to Management for the award of contracts.
Cost Management: Prepare and control project budgets, ensuring that costs are accurately tracked and managed. Provide cost advice and financial reporting.
Tendering and Procurement: Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and assist in the selection of contractors and suppliers. Negotiate and manage subcontracts.
Valuations and Payments: Conduct valuations for interim and final payments. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payments.
Project Planning and Scheduling: Assist in the development of project schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize financial and contractual risks.
Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Communicate project financial status and address any concerns.
Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant legal, regulatory, and professional standards.
Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on project progress, costs, and financial performance. Provide regular updates to senior management. Pre-qualification of tenderers, evaluate and recommend to Management.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry best practices, standards, and technologies. Implement improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Key Results/Objectives (KPIs):
Minimum project costing.
Ensure the project timeline is delivered timely.
Ensure project resources are utilized at optimal levels.
Zero complaints during/after the handover of the project.
Job Requirements
Education Level: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Job Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying and contract management within the construction industry.
Specific Skills & Computer Skills: Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, MS Project). Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
