Develop, implement, and maintain quality control policies and procedures
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the quality control program, including inspections, tests, and audits
Conduct regular internal and external quality control audits to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures
Develop and maintain a system for monitoring and evaluating quality control data, and report findings to senior management
Identify and investigate quality control issues and recommend solutions to improve the quality of products, services, and processes
Work closely with the production, engineering, and R&D teams to ensure that quality control considerations are integrated into the design, development, and production processes
Inspect the final output, comparing it to the requirements, and approving or rejecting the final products
Develop and implement training programs to educate employees on quality control procedures and best practices
Collaborate with customers on continuous quality improvement programs and customer complaints
Carry out any other duties as requested and instructed by the superior
Authorized to make final decisions on incoming raw material and on-hold non-conforming products with justifications provided
Authorized to stop production and alert management if continuous rejects are detected
Accomplish quality assurance human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures
Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
Gain feedback from clients, attend meetings, submit reports, and assist external auditors and inspectors
Lead and resolve any related issues regarding food quality, food safety, and productivity
Perform other ad-hoc activities as and when required
Qualification, Knowledge, Experience & Skills
Degree in Food Science/Technology/Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 8-10 years of related working experience
Demonstrates sound technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Proven, reliable self-starter, able to work effectively with minimal supervision
Significant experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in the Food Industry
Thrive and excel in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and best practices, including ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, and Six Sigma
