Job description
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control policies and procedures
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the quality control program, including inspections, tests, and audits
  • Conduct regular internal and external quality control audits to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures
  • Develop and maintain a system for monitoring and evaluating quality control data, and report findings to senior management
  • Identify and investigate quality control issues and recommend solutions to improve the quality of products, services, and processes
  • Work closely with the production, engineering, and R&D teams to ensure that quality control considerations are integrated into the design, development, and production processes
  • Inspect the final output, comparing it to the requirements, and approving or rejecting the final products
  • Develop and implement training programs to educate employees on quality control procedures and best practices
  • Collaborate with customers on continuous quality improvement programs and customer complaints
  • Carry out any other duties as requested and instructed by the superior
  • Authorized to make final decisions on incoming raw material and on-hold non-conforming products with justifications provided
  • Authorized to stop production and alert management if continuous rejects are detected
  • Accomplish quality assurance human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures
  • Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
  • Gain feedback from clients, attend meetings, submit reports, and assist external auditors and inspectors
  • Lead and resolve any related issues regarding food quality, food safety, and productivity
  • Perform other ad-hoc activities as and when required

Qualification, Knowledge, Experience & Skills

  • Degree in Food Science/Technology/Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum 8-10 years of related working experience
  • Demonstrates sound technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven, reliable self-starter, able to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Significant experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in the Food Industry
  • Thrive and excel in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and best practices, including ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, and Six Sigma
