Job description
  • Quality Assurance: Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems that ensure compliance with food safety regulations (MOH, JKKP, Halal, ISO22000, HACCP).
  • Team Management: Supervise and train QC staff, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Product Testing: Oversee the testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, including inspections, tests, and corrective actions.
  • Problem Solving: Identify quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Audits and Inspections: Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure quality is integrated into all aspects of the manufacturing process.
  • Training: Conduct training programs for staff on quality control and food safety practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve product quality and reduce waste, utilizing tools such as Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on food safety regulations and industry standards, ensuring that the facility complies with all relevant laws.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in food science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control/assurance within the food manufacturing industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in quality management software.
  • Certifications: HACCP, ISO 22000, or Six Sigma are highly desirable.
