Job Title: Quality Control Inspector (Manufacturing)
Job Summary:
The Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products manufactured meet established quality standards. The role involves inspecting and measuring materials or products to verify their conformance with specifications. The QC Inspector will work closely with production teams to identify and address any defects or inconsistencies during the manufacturing process. This role is essential for maintaining high standards of product quality and safety, preventing defects, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform regular quality checks using tools, gauges, and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, Height Gauge, CMM and other precision measuring devices).
- Document inspection results by completing reports, logs, and other required forms.
- Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, or deviations from specifications to supervisors and relevant teams.
- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues during the manufacturing process.
- Conduct audits and follow-up inspections to ensure corrective actions have been implemented.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control processes and efficiency.
- Support the implementation of quality management systems (QMS) and ensure adherence to established procedures.
- Train production staff on quality standards, procedures, and inspection techniques as needed.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in manufacturing or quality control is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of quality control standards, processes, and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools and equipment for inspection.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with quality control software or data entry systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
