QC Inspector (Incoming/ Inline)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Withdraw samples from incoming materials according to a sampling plan and perform inspections before releasing them for use.
2. Coordinate with other departments to manage defects caused by suppliers. Ensure that all affected stock is blocked and the necessary paperwork is completed.
3. Follow up with procurement/suppliers on supporting documents (such as stress reports) for incoming materials on a regular basis.
4. Update work instructions and guidelines if there are any changes to existing practices.
5. Prepare SCARs (when required) and follow up on actions from suppliers to resolve any non-conformance issues or rejections.
6. Prepare a monthly Incoming Report for management review.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for inspecting various production lines to ensure quality standards are met.
2. Take immediate action to rectify any deviations or non-conformances.
3. Verify compliance with environmental monitoring and hygiene/sanitation programs.
4. Verify preservatives near material preparation/processing areas.
5. Compile pallets of retained samples.
6. Maintain a clean and tidy work area on the production line.

Education & Experience:

1. Diploma or Degree.
2. QC related experience (inspection and measuring) in manufacturing or packaging industry preferred.
3. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and SAP).

Requirements & Skills:

1. Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO preferred.
2. Good and strong follow up skills and able to communicate clearly with other functions.
3. Time management.
4. Able to work on night shift and overtime on Saturday, Sunday and/or Public Holiday (if required).
