Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) systems for the project or organization.
Ensure adherence to all applicable national and international quality standards and regulations.
Work with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure product quality from design through to final product delivery.
Inspection & Testing:
Conduct regular inspections and testing on materials, products, and processes to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Perform in-process and final inspections during project or manufacturing phases.
Review and verify inspection/test reports and ensure corrective actions are implemented when necessary.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, tests, and audits.
Prepare detailed inspection reports, including identifying non-conformities, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
Update and monitor the status of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
Generate quality metrics and performance reports for management and clients.
Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions:
Identify quality issues or defects, investigate their causes, and recommend corrective actions to resolve them.
Work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions to prevent recurrence of non-conformities.
Ensure timely resolution of any quality issues to prevent delays in project timelines.
Audit & Compliance:
Participate in internal and external audits to assess compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Support external clients, auditors, and regulatory agencies during audits.
Monitor and report on industry trends, changes in regulations, and new standards that could affect quality management.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by analyzing trends and suggesting process improvements to enhance quality performance.
Lead or participate in root cause analysis activities to identify areas for process optimization.
Assist in the development and implementation of best practices in quality management.
Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure quality requirements are met.
Communicate effectively with project teams, senior management, and clients to report on quality issues, risks, and concerns.
Provide training to team members on quality standards, policies, and best practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. (Master's degree or relevant certifications preferred).
Certifications (Preferred but not required):
ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor or equivalent.
NACE Coating Inspector or similar industry-specific certifications (if applicable).
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in [industry – construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, etc.].
Hands-on experience with quality inspection tools and methodologies (e.g., dimensional inspection, destructive/non-destructive testing).
Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and knowledge of ISO or other international standards.
Skills:
Strong understanding of quality control processes and standards.
Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and solve problems effectively.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in using quality management software and MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
