QA Regulatory Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all raw materials and products meet local and international regulatory standards.
• Prepare and maintain regulatory documentation (e.g., product specification, ingredient declarations, labels, registration documents, and certifications).
• Work closely with R&D, quality control, and production teams to ensure compliance during product development.
• Assist Sales/Marketing on customer support by providing the necessary documents, quality, technical, and regulatory knowledge of the products including questionnaires, regulatory matters, product registration, licensing, and other related requests.
• Review, maintain and update product specifications (TDS & SDS) of existing and new products, ensuring accessibility on the SAP system.
• Stay informed on changes in food regulations and standards.
• Train internal staff on regulation updates, changes, and amendments.
• Support the Company's Quality Management System certification (FSCC, HACCP, HALAL, and GMP), including new application and renewal submission.
• Participate in internal, external, and 3rd party audits.
• Maintain records on the GMP program especially on pest control, yearly lab tests, premise hygiene program, refresher training, allergens, etc. Liaise with external providers when required.
• Review, evaluate, and maintain the documents of incoming, existing, and expired materials.
• Work closely with the Quality Manager and assist in other tasks assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science / Food Technology.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in QA Regulatory, preferably from flavour, food, or related industry.
• Good knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and GMP.
• Good olfactive/sensory skills.
• A team player with good analytical, problem-solving skills and ability to take initiatives and effectively work to project timelines.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficient in Mandarin would be an added advantage.
• Advanced knowledge in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
