Job Description & Summary

Acceleration Centers, our tech-enabled global talent hubs spread across the world, work seamlessly with our PwC practice offices in the US and across the globe as One team and are focused on enabling top and bottom-line growth along with value creation. Our AC professionals are always at the forefront of enabling innovation, expanding PwC capabilities and driving sustainable outcomes for our clients. At AC KL, we are looking for an ideal candidate to lead our Tax Practice supporting US clients, primarily within Corporate Tax and Financial Services. This Tax leader will set the transformation agenda to our Tax Practice, acting as a change agent to position the practice as a truly vertically integrated partner to stakeholders, while setting the culture at the practice to one of high performance and client centricity.

The leader will be responsible for strengthening the culture of openness, inclusivity and belonging; upskilling and enhancing the practice value proposition, and act as an internal champion to deepen the cultural awareness while collaborating with PwC offices around the world.

As a Director, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

Drive Client Outcomes

  • Responsible for overall operations of the Tax practice in AC KL, including strategic planning and direction, delivery of work quality while ensuring seamless daily operations.
  • Work with business unit leaders on the development and implementation of US tax-related technical learning content to grow and deepen competencies.
  • Develop, transform and grow the Tax practice - work in close collaboration and establish networks with multiple senior stakeholders to manage assignments encompassing the entire spectrum - direct, indirect, M&A and international taxes.

  • Contribute to and lead execution of the Tax AC Strategic priorities locally while keeping a global cross AC mindset.
  • Partner with Business Services and AC Strategy teams to contribute to and execute on strategic and operational programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor‘s degree in Accounting.
  • Chartered Accountant or equivalent (such as ICAEW / ACCA / MICPA-CAANZ/ CPA Australia/CPA US) or Enrolled Agent.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in tax related roles with a proven record of leading sizable teams.
  • Understanding of tax and regulatory requirements; US Tax experience is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of corporate financial statements.
  • Strong experience in matrixed environments that require building collaborative relations with multiple global stakeholders, managing diverse priorities and demonstrated influencing capabilities.
  • Successful track record as a people-centric, transformational leader with excellent interpersonal & communications (both written and verbal) skills.
  • Strong drive to take accountability of both personal and team growth and development.
