Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors based on price, quality, delivery, and service capabilities. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with vendors.
  • Source, negotiate and purchase material or services from potential suppliers (local & overseas) via e-commerce portal.
  • Review and process purchase requisitions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Verify specifications, quantities, and deliverables within stipulated time frame.
  • Liaise with respective departments to determine their needs on specific products or services and ensure sourcing is carried out within a specific time frame.
  • Monitor stock levels, track product movement, and assist in stock planning.
  • Reorder items as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain a full record and coordinate with various suppliers and compare costs for purchasing requisitions.
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policy and procedures.
  • Communicate and support staff from various departments regarding administrative requests/tasks as needed.
  • Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities.
  • Consistently update and review purchasing, sales, costing, retail pricing, and sales promotion data in reports to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Carry out any other duties delegated by superiors from time to time.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or any field.
  • Required language(s): Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, English.
  • Candidates fluent in Mandarin preferred as the role requires dealing with Mandarin-speaking vendors.
  • Responsible, positive attitude, and self-motivated to learn.
  • Working experience in a hotel environment will be preferred.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Preferably Executives specializing in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.

  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role.
  • Working rights required for this role.
  • Expected start date for role: 25 October 2024.
  • Expected salary: RM2,500 - RM4,000 per month.
