Purchasing Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure a steady supply of quality materials while optimizing costs.
2. Set up and manage virtual warehousing systems to enhance procurement efficiency.
3. Collaborate with R&D engineers to establish inspection reference standards for incoming materials.
4. Oversee the quality management of incoming materials, ensuring they meet required specifications.
5. Work closely with production personnel, who will assist in incoming material inspection, to ensure compliance with quality standards.
6. Negotiate with suppliers to secure cost-effective and high-quality materials.
7. Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
8. Coordinate with internal teams, including production and R&D, to align purchasing activities with company needs.
9. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and procurement best practices.
10. Prepare and analyze purchasing reports to improve procurement strategies.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing management.
3. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
4. Knowledge of virtual warehousing and inventory management is an advantage.
5. Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D and production departments.
6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
7. Able to communicate in English, Malay, and Chinese (is a must, as need to liaise with China HQ).
