Job Responsibilities:

• Good knowledge and experience in sourcing, selecting & negotiating with suppliers based on cost, quality & delivery to obtain the best value for goods & services in line with project & production timelines.
• Assist Purchasing Manager in all purchasing related functions such as managing suppliers, obtaining quotations, negotiating prices, and following up on deliveries.
• Manage supplier relationships, addressing performance issues, fostering partnerships, and developing long-term supplier strategies.
• Interact and coordinate well with personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies.
• Sense emergency and urgent production material needs.
• Liaise and work closely with suppliers on the purchasing schedule and on-time delivery.
• Maintain complete updated purchasing records and pricing in the system.
• Ensure purchasing documentation is in accordance with the company’s policy and procedures.
• Prepare purchasing reports.

Job Requirements:

• Possess at least a Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Purchasing/Business Administration or its equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Preference for candidates from the furniture industry.
• Able to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and work with minimum supervision.
• Good analytical and numerical skills and able to communicate with all levels.
