About the role

Scanwolf Plastic Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Executive to join our dynamic team in Tronoh, Perak. As a Purchasing Executive, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement of raw materials and ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. This full-time position presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our company.

What you'll be doing

• Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials from both local and overseas vendors.
• Evaluate vendor's quotation to ensure that they are in line with the technical and commercial specifications required for the production.
• Advise internal and external on issues regarding purchasing Terms & Conditions.
• Prepares information to assist superiors in the negotiation of contract pricing with suppliers.
• Prepares purchase orders for procurement and expedition of materials and equipment for jobs.
• Compliance with production budgets and provide reports to superiors for analysis of deviations.
• Assist in monitoring purchasing strategies and policies to deliver ongoing cost reductions and process simplification.
• Liaises with subcontractors and suppliers under the superior's directives whenever necessary.
• Assist in ensuring awareness and company compliance with all product codes and local guidelines.
• Assist in maintaining the company quality control program.
• Assist in settling invoice or contract disputes.
• Assist in managing purchases of office inventories and contract preparation.
• Maintain sub/supplier information on company management systems.
• Maintains materials/equipment inventory under the guidelines of the Company.
• Assigned ad hoc tasks required of role from time to time.

What we're looking for

• At least a Certificate in Business or Equivalent.
• At least 2 years of working experience preferably in the manufacturing business, much of which has been in purchasing.
• Ability to accurately assess the status of manufacturing products.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and clients.
• Ability to solve transaction issues with initiatives.
• Excellent time management and prioritized work.
