Purchasing Executive

About the role

Ansell is seeking a talented Purchasing Executive to join our team in Shah Alam, Selangor. In this full-time position, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our manufacturing and supply chain operations, ensuring we maintain efficient and cost-effective procurement processes.

What you'll be doing

• Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including sourcing, negotiating, and placing orders for raw materials, components, and other goods required for production.
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing, maintain strong relationships, and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
• Monitor and analyse purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production and logistics, to align purchasing activities with overall business objectives.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to all purchasing activities.
• Support the implementation of procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.

What we're looking for

• At least 1 year of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the manufacturing of gloves industry.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimize purchasing processes and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Working knowledge of procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing business needs.
