Purchasing Executive

Responsibilities

1. Determine the best sources of supply for each product or service needed by the company, based on price, quality, delivery time and other criteria.
2. Monitor performance of suppliers and keep up to trend of the current market situation in terms of price range.
3. Develop and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure that they provide high quality products at competitive prices.
4. Ensure P/O issued and approved PR are not pending too long or over ordered.
5. Daily record updating for all purchasing data in ERP system.
6. Maintain quotation record in computer file.
7. Maintain Approved Vendor List in computer file and circulate to the team for new sourcing.
8. Match invoices/Do with PO/PR upon delivery received.
9. Prepare weekly purchase plan. Verify with the requestor on its stock record.
10. Ensure every cash purchase is attached to the temporary invoice or cash bill for payment preparation.
11. Assist in updating of raw material delivery schedule on a weekly basis.
12. Update purchase details on every Raw Material certificate from superior and pass to QA inspector for verification.
13. In-charge of the system for requisition and purchase transactions, new item codes, etc.
14. Issue PR and PO plan for raw material upon receiving raw material plan from superior.
15. Handle and verify relevant invoices prior to the Accounts department.
16. Prepare weekly raw material purchase and scrap report to Management.
17. Process modifications to terms and conditions of purchase agreements.

Qualifications

1. Diploma & above in supply-chain or at least 3-5 years of working experience in a similar field/position.
2. Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 is a MUST.
3. Working experience in Plastic Injection molding, LSR molding, Compression molding will be an added advantage.
4. Good knowledge in negotiation, sourcing, and planning skills.
5. Other competencies: Responsibility & independence, secrecy, attentiveness, agility, strategic thinking, and leadership.
