German Dutch ORYX STAINLESS GROUP is a global leader in the production of stainless steel scrap blends. From our production facilities in Europe and Asia, we supply the biggest smelters worldwide for their stainless steel production. After the huge success of our Thailand operation, our second Asian yard in Johor, Tanjung Langsat has just commenced operations.

We are a small team moving huge volumes. Everybody is an expert in their specific role and at the same time helps each other to move mountains, literally, mountains of metal. Although our operations are highly automated, there are a thousand other things required to keep it going. As the

PURCHASING & ADMIN OFFICER

You will do everything to keep our operations running. New sources, better products, vendors and service providers, improved terms, maintaining stock levels to make sure our production never stops.

If you have experience dealing with people (HR), you can take on responsibilities here too as only happy and motivated staff is good staff. The people in the many government departments we deal with are both important and demanding and should you have experience here, yet another area of responsibility awaits you.

Too much? Not for the person who loves juggling many plates, taking on many different responsibilities, working independently but totally connected.

Be our Swiss Army Knife would be another way to put it.

If you have worked in at least some of the below areas, let’s talk!

  • Purchase of everything that keeps industrial operations going: products, consumables, spare parts, even maintenance. You never stop finding the best supplier for rapid needs as well as keeping us sufficiently stocked to never have to stop operations.
  • Research, select, procure and maintain close relationships with service providers (technical & commercial) for maintenance, insurance, travel, and more.
  • HR administration: It would be great if you have some HR experience such as attendance, leave & holiday recording, SOCO & insurances, well-being, HSE, training, etc.

As with everything else, if you’re not yet familiar, find out, learn it, do it!

  • Run the office: With initially 30 staff, the team is small. Look after them in every aspect. We work hard but care for our team, from comfortable safety gear to good food and health.
  • Dealing with government: Safety, customs, tax, environment, etc. help our managers to deal, discuss and document whatever is needed by the government, at every level.
  • Help our small management team to stay on top of all licensing: immigration, certification, accreditation, inspection, in Malaysia and in the many countries we do business with.

The current position holder is moving to another assignment with us, you can start anytime!

We appreciate your degree, your certificates, and any good and relevant education that helps you multitask. Equally important is experience, lots of it, ideally with a start-up and MNC like us.
