Purchase Executive

About the role

As the Purchase Executive at Leon Fuat Hardware Sdn Bhd, you will play a pivotal role in the company's procurement and inventory management processes. This full-time position is based in our Kuala Lumpur office and is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and supplies to support the company's manufacturing and logistics operations.

What you'll be doing

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast and plan procurement needs
• Research and identify reliable suppliers, negotiate favourable terms, and manage supplier relationships
• Process and track purchase orders, monitor delivery timelines, and resolve any issues that arise
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, ensuring stock levels meet production demands
• Analyse procurement data and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and cost savings
• Comply with the company's procurement policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing, procurement, or inventory management role, preferably within the manufacturing and trading industry.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficient in the use of procurement software and inventory management systems
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimise procurement processes
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and timely delivery
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
