What You’ll Do
As the Proposal Specialist, you will be responsible for being the project lead on all proposals, making sure the proposal is completed on time, while also ensuring the proposal includes a clear strategy and compelling message to help the organization win more opportunities.
Develop a practical knowledge equally of Teradata’s offerings including Hardware, Software, and Services while continuously striving to understand and relate Teradata’s value-add proposition to all proposal submissions.
Execute the development of fully compliant, compelling, and winning RFP responses, including writing, revising, and editing RFPs and achieve quality results by using templates; following proposal-writing standards and maintaining proposal support databases.
Who You’ll Work With
The team consists of three other members and is part of the Sales Strategy department.
Within the Go to Market (GTM) organization, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders from contributing functions (Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Consulting, IT, Legal and Deal Desk) to ensure cross-departmental strategy and coordination on all RFPs, Unsolicited Proposals, and proposal templates.
The role will report to the Director of the Proposal Development Center.
What Makes You a Qualified Candidate
Minimum 7 years proposal management experience.
Advanced practical experience in Word and PowerPoint.
Experience in graphic design.
Experience in responding to Federal/Government RFPs and Commercial RFPs and developing Unsolicited Proposals.
Experience in developing Unsolicited Proposals.
What You’ll Bring
Familiarity with Proposal Management Software – RFPIO (Responsive) preferred.
Lead and develop Unsolicited Proposals, both in Word and PowerPoint.
Create proposal templates to be used by the Sales Team; both Word and PowerPoint.
Project manage the end-to-end proposal process, ensuring tasks are assigned and all timelines are defined and met.
Maintain and contribute to the content used in templates and proposals.
Track proposal progress and completion status.
Advocate and actively follow written procedures, policies, protocols, and best practices, including standard file management and archiving procedures.
Improve proposal-writing results by evaluating and re-designing processes, approach, coordination, and updating boilerplate with latest solutions and responses.
