Project Manager (Utility Services)

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for township planning and administer contract/ project management of building construction and utility service works (external main HT power, water supply, road connection and sewerage connection and STP).
  2. Management and monitoring of township main utilities services from design planning to project execution stage with the required standard and within time-cost budget.
  3. Oversee the projects execution processes with meeting the project objectives/goals.
  4. Lead the project development team for effective implementation and successful completion of all assigned projects including overseeing the co-ordination, budgeting, scheduling, quality control and progress of the projects.
  5. Liaison with the relevant authorities, consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth implementation and quality of the projects.
  6. Conduct sites inspection on regular basis to review progress and project performance according to schedule.
  7. Ensure regular progress meetings are organised with consultants, main contractor, sub-contractor, suppliers and 3rd parties’ development to review the progress of the projects and keep the management team fully informed of issues and progress.
  8. Manage changes and escalate timely in anticipation of any potential project issues that could impact projects and schedule.

Requirements:

  1. Hold relevant tertiary qualifications within the building construction; M&E engineering, C&S engineering, project management or other related fields.
  2. Minimum 5 years of project management experience with construction development project.
  3. Preferably experience with building construction and utility services works.
  4. Knowledgeable in managing all aspects of construction development life cycle.
  5. Possess strong planning, organizing, co-ordination, analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proven track record of delivering the various township and/or large-scale construction development projects.
  7. Strong management skills in dealing with external parties such as consultants, contractors and suppliers.
  8. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently.
  9. Good leadership in building construction effective project teams, motivating others, delegating and time/quality decision making.
  10. Strong interpersonal skills, good negotiation and diplomatic skills.
