Job Description
We seek a dynamic Project Manager to lead our Large Scale Solar (LSS) Team, ensuring the successful execution of solar farm projects from inception to commissioning. The role also involves periodic oversight of our C&I Project Team to ensure alignment with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution
Manage end-to-end EPCC activities for LSS projects (30MW and above), including design, procurement, construction, and grid commissioning.
Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Ensure projects meet technical specifications, timelines, and quality standards. - Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary liaison for clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Conduct progress meetings, address concerns, and negotiate contracts.
Foster strong relationships to ensure smooth project delivery.
Lead multidisciplinary teams (engineers, contractors, technicians) to achieve project milestones.
Mentor junior staff and promote a culture of safety, accountability, and innovation. - Compliance & Safety
Ensure adherence to local regulations (e.g., ST, TNB requirements), international standards, and HSE protocols.
Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments. - Reporting & Documentation
Prepare progress reports, financial updates, and post-project evaluations for senior management. - Cross-Team Oversight
Periodically review C&I Team projects to ensure alignment with company processes and troubleshoot complex issues.
Identify opportunities to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and enhance project delivery.
Stay updated on solar technology trends and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical).
Experience: Minimum 5 years in solar project management, with at least 2 completed LSS projects (30MW+).
Skills:
Proven ability to manage budgets exceeding RM100 million.
Excellent communication (English & Bahasa Malaysia) and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Mindset: Proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning.
Certifications (Preferred): PMP, CIDB certifications.
